Action plan on mosquito control

HYDERABAD: The state government would soon come up with an action plan to control the mosquito menace in the state, minister for medical education Kondru Murali told an agitated Assembly during the question hour on Thursday.Members, cutting across party lines, expressed concern over the menace and dissatisfaction over the government's inadequate measures to control mosquitoes and supply mosquito nets to the poor.They alleged that about 10 lakh mosquito nets were lying idle at the Visakhapatnam port while tribal people in the Agency areas were falling prey to malaria, dengue and other viral diseases.
