New Delhi: More than 90% people are in favour of demonetisation of old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes despite the inconvenience involved in queuing up at banks and ATM kiosks, according to a survey conducted on PM Narendra Modi's NM App.
"I thank people for the historic participation in the survey. It's satisfying to read the insightful views & comments," the Prime Minister tweeted along with the results of the survey conducted on Narendra Modi App.
"Unprecedented response to App Survey, record number of citizens share their view," said the title of a write-up on narendramodi.in whose link was shared by the Prime Minister on his Twitter account.
Of the five lakh people who took part in the survey, 48 percent said they were inconvenienced by the move.
Ninety two percent of the respondents thought demonetisation will have an impact on curbing black money and terrorism.
The same number of people also thought that the Modi government's efforts against corruption are very good.

Only 2 per cent have rated the move as 'very poor' or 'one star', the survey result said.
The Prime Minister launched this app on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister posed questions like, Do you have any suggestions/ideas or insights you would like to share with PM Narendra Modi.
Some of the other questions asked include Do you think black money exists in India. Do you think the evil of corruption and black money need to be fought and eliminated. What do you think of government's move of banning old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.
