5 reasons that make Prabhas-Rana Daggubati's 'Bahubali' an absolute must watch
With 'Bahubali' mania at its peak, here is a look at some of the biggest takeaways from the nearly 2 minute long trailer.

The recently released trailer of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus 'Bahubali' has created quite a stir in the Telugu film industry, courtesy its irresistible visual appeal as well as gripping presentation. Touted as a war-drama, it features an ensemble cast headlined by the 'rebel star' Prabhas and Rana Daggubati.

With 'Bahubali' mania at its peak, here is a look at some of the biggest takeaways from the nearly 2 minute long trailer.

'Bahubali' has a relatable yet surreal plot: Judging by the trailer, 'Bahubali' highlights the rivalry between two brothers over a kingdom. Interestingly, sibling also formed the basis of The Mahabharat’, which is generally regarded as one of the most revered epics of Indian history. As such, most viewers will be able to relate to basic sentiments associated with Rajamouli’s film. However, at the same time, the trailer has some references to supernatural phenomena such as rebirth/reincarnation and ghosts. All of this could go a long way in adding a surreal/ larger than life feel to the onscreen events. This may result in a terrific viewing experience

Will Anushka Shetty strike gold again?: It was in 2009 that Anushka Shetty’s career received a new lease of life when she delivered an intense performance in the horror-thriller 'Arundhati' , establishing herself as a bankable star.

In the opening few seconds of the 'Bahubali' trailer we get a glimpse of the talented actress. However, she is not seen in a glamorous avatar. On the contrary, Shetty appears in a de-glam getup, essaying the role of a captive. As war and prisoners go hand in hand, there is a high probability of her character being an integral part of the film. If that happens, the 33-year-old may steal the show yet again.

A new and improved Rana Daggubati: Despite being a part of the Telugu film industry for merely five years, Rana Daggubati has established himself as a force to be reckoned with, thanks to his enviable physique and screen presence. In 'Bahubali' he will be seen in a beefed up avatar, essaying a negative role. As such the film could help him solidify his 'macho' image even further. Moreover, his character is touted as Bahubali’s nemesis so his chemistry with the Prabhas could be a key element of the movie.

Rajamouli has grand plans for 'Bahubali': A highly ambitious project, 'Baahubali' has been shot simultaneously in Tamil as 'Mahabali'. Cast members such as Anushka Shetty and Nassar are equally popular in both industries. This could go a long way in boosting the commercial viability of both versions. Moreover, 'Bahubali' has also been dubbed into Hindi. The Hindi version, which is being presented by Karan Johar, is expected to be released alongside the other two versions. On top of that the trailers for all three versions were released at the same time meaning that the dubbed version too will be promoted properly and get ample scope to work wonders at the box office.

A sequel awaits: Towards the end of the trailer we get a glimpse of a baby emerging for the water. This is a clear indication that 'Bahubali' is just the birth of a long saga. As such a sequel is on the cards. And it could be even grander that the first part.
