New Delhi: The anonymous letter that was sent to Justice R S Sodhi of the Delhi High Court claims that there are three cases similar to Jessica Lall's case waiting for justice, said PTI on Monday.
The one-page typed letter sent to the Judge listed three murder cases "very similar" to the Jessica case. It says that in all these cases the investigating authority and the forensic expert followed the same procedure of probe, which resulted in acquittal of the accused by the trial courts.
Calling receipt of the anonymous letter as "disturbing", Justice R S Sodhi posted for April 27 the matter before another bench which will include him.
In all the four cases, including that of Jessica, the murder was committed with a licenced gun and the same forensic expert's opinion was sought.
The expert had held that the bullet was not fired from the gun, the letter says.
It was also pointed out in the unsigned letter that on the line of Jessica Lall trial, all the important witnesses turned hostile in these three cases.
Justice Sodhi, who had set aside the trial court's verdict and had sentenced prime accused Manu Sharma to life imprisonment, was visibly upset over the letter which allegedly said that the justice was waiting to be done in these cases.
