2 cricket bookies held, Rs 2.5 lakhs seized

PRODDATUR: Two Town police arrested two cricket bookies here on Friday night and seized Rs 2.5 lakh. Acting on credible information that betting was going on the IPL matches, Two Town SI Ibrahim along with his staff raided several lodges on the Mydakur road and Sivalayam centre in the town when the Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils match was in progress.They arrested Mohan and Subbaiah from Dorasanipalle at a tea stall near Rajasimha hotel, and seized Rs 2.5 lakh and betting slips.
