A 16-member delegation of Pakistan Rangers will be in the national capital on Wednesday to hold talks with their counterparts in BSF. The delegation of the Pakistani Rangers is being led by DG Maj Gen Umar Farooq Burqi.
The team from Pakistan will cross the Attari-Wagah Border by road and then reach Amritsar, following which they will take the flight to Delhi.
The meeting between the Rangers and the BSF was one of the three key meetings agreed upon between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart Nawaz Sharif when they met in Ufa in Russia in July.
The agenda for the meeting is instances of ceasefire violations at the International Border. The BSF will also take up the issue of intrusions in Rann of Kutch and contraband smuggling.
The National Security Advisor (NSA) level meetings in August had been cancelled by Pakistan.
