Press and the Home and Power buttons at the same time. The Home button is the oval just below the screen and the Power button is on the right side near the top. A white border will flash around the screen, meaning the image has been captured. If you're using a Galaxy S4 tablet instead of a phone, press the Power and Volume-Down buttons instead. Both are on the right side of tablet.

View the screenshot. To open your screenshot, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Notification panel, then tap Screenshot captured.

Swiping a Palm

Enable Palm motion. Before you can use your palm to take a screenshot, you'll need to enable Palm motion in your settings. Here's how: Open your Settings. An easy way to do this is to swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the gear icon. Tap My Device. Tap Motions and gestures. Tap Palm motion. Slide the "Capture screen" switch to the On position. Press the Home button to return to the home screen.

Go to the screen you want to capture. You can capture the screen in any app on your Galaxy.

Swipe your palm across the screen. With your palm facing the screen, swipe your hand across the screen from one side to the other. A white border will flash to indicate that the screen was captured.
