Canceling from Max
Go to https://max.com/subscription in a web browser. If you aren't already logged in, enter your email address and username to do so now. If you're using a mobile device, tap your profile picture and tap Subscription. If you're using a TV, select the cog icon and select Subscription.
Select Cancel Your Subscription. This is at the bottom of the page. If you don't see this option, your subscription is managed by a third-party. You can see who bills you at the top. See the Third-Party Billing section for instructions on how to cancel your subscription.
Click Continue to Cancel. You may need to select this twice. Your subscription will be canceled at the end of your billing period.
Canceling Third-Party Billing
Amazon Appstore. If you're being billed for Max by Amazon, you'll need to sign into your Amazon account. Go to https://www.amazon.com/appstoresubscriptions in a web browser. Sign into your account. Select Max underneath Your Subscriptions. Disable Auto-Renewal. The subscription will be canceled at the end of your billing period.
Prime Video Channels. You can subscribe to HBO Max directly in Prime Video. To cancel, do the following: Go to https://amazon.com/video/subscriptions/manage in a web browser. Click Cancel Channel next to Max.
Apple. If you're being billed for Max through the App Store, do the following: Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap your Apple ID. Tap Subscriptions. Tap Max. Tap Cancel Subscription.
Google Play. If you're being billed for Max through the Google Play Store, do the following: Open the Play Store. Tap your profile icon. Tap Payments & subscriptions. Tap Subscriptions. Tap Max. Tap Cancel subscription.
Samsung TV. To cancel a subscription billed through Samsung TV, do the following: Sign into http://www.samsungcheckout.com/ in a web browser. Select Purchase History. Select Subscriptions. Select Unsubscribe next to Max.
TV, phone, or Internet provider. If you get your HBO Max subscription through a provider, you'll need to contact your provider. Log into your provider's website and look for add-ons or bundle subscriptions. Alternatively, contact your provider directly.
