How to Be a Professional Hide and Seek Player
Hide and Seek is a game that never gets old. Many children and even adults love playing it, but, if you want to make the game more interesting, read on and learn how to be a professional Hide and Seek player on a par with the likes of Lord Lucan, D B Cooper and Amelia Earhart.
Steps

Seeking

Check all the obvious spots first. The obvious places are usually where players will first think to hide. Be sure to check even the most obvious spots because people normally hide there thinking they're in such an obvious place you'll just pass them.

Listen for noises. If you hear rustling or unusual movements in the area, it is usually a sign indicating that someone is hiding nearby or changing place or position to be comfortable. Also, keep an ear out for laughing, coughing, sneezing, or whispering. If you don't hear anything try telling a joke aloud and check if you hear someone laughing. They are the number one giveaways when you are hiding. Be sure to look for disturbed objects in the environment - this means that someone was there and has moved on to a different spot. For example, you might see a basket of clothes tipped over next to a "mannequin" that's covered in clothes. However, be aware that if the hider is an expert, they'll probably tip over stuff on purpose to distract you. Be aware that most players will always move to different hiding spots, making it much trickier for you to find them.

Keep moving. When you've found a player, move on to the next, and keep going until everybody is found. The person that you found first will become the next seeker.

Hiding

Get to the spot that first pops up in your mind immediately. It's a good trick, but don't do it if you are worried that the seeker is using the same strategy. Don't hide in a place which was already used by somebody before. Make sure you aren't worried. Hiding requires complete control and stealth, if you start worrying, you might get careless, and will be found. Try not to move or laugh as the seeker might hear that.

Remember: hiding takes practice. You might start breathing heavily, especially if you are rushed or in an uncomfortable spot. Before a game starts, practice breathing slowly and steadily this will improve your chances of not getting caught. Also, try to hide in the spot you want to hide in for the game for practice and try different laying/crouching positions for different comfort results.

Be opportunistic and watch for chances to escape from your original spot and find a new one. While you are in your hiding spot, think of places you could move to easily. Also, plan how you will get out of your hiding spot and to your next spot quietly. Just make sure the seeker doesn't catch you.

What's your reaction?
