Apple has decided against increasing the prices of the iPhone 16 series models this year, while those in India can pick up the 16 Pro models for less than last year. However, the company has increased prices of the biggest component of its iPhones. We are talking about the cost of replacing a battery on the iPhone 16 Pro or 16 Pro Max models, which has gone up this year, making it the most expensive part of the latest premium iPhones from Apple. And if you have the iPhone 15 series model, the replacement cost of the battery for these devices remains unchanged.
iPhone 16 Pro Battery Replacement Cost: Here’s What You Pay
The cost of replacing the battery on the iPhone 16 Pro now goes up to $119 (Rs 9,877 approx). If you want the battery for the iPhone 16 or 16 Plus models, the price is $99 (Rs 8,210 approx), which is also the price for the battery on the iPhone 15 and 14 series. If you are still using the older iPhone 13 model, the battery replacement cost drops down to $89 (Rs 7,380 approx).
These replacement prices are applicable at the Apple Stores across the world, but the actual cost could vary depending on various taxes into the final price. However, for iPhone 16 Pro buyers in India, the replacement of the battery could cost them over Rs 10,000 which means you need to take care of the battery health on these premium devices over time.
The iPhone 16 series pre-booking has already started in the market, including India this week. The new iPhone 16 models go on shelf from September 20 and those pre-booking the units can pick them up on the first day itself. The iPhone 16 series starts from Rs 79,900 for the base 128GB variant, while the iPhone 16 Pro series starts from Rs 1,19,900 in the country this year which is Rs 15,000 less than the launch price of iPhone 15 Pro series in India.
