Madrid: Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho hinted that his club will be doing more business before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Speaking on Tuesday, after Luka Modric was signed from Tottenham Hotspurs for around 35 million euros to become the club's first new face this summer, Mourinho said there would be more activity in the transfer market before midnight Friday, reports Xinhua.

"Neither arrivals nor departures are closed yet. Everything is still open," said the Madrid coach. Brazilian midfielder Kaka is expected to leave Madrid to join Sao Paolo and Ricardo Carvalho is being linked to return to the Premier League.

"I say about Kaka what I have said since day one, if he leaves, he leaves and if he doesn't leave then he will be a player like any other in the squad and I will try to get the best out of him," said Mourinho, who has left Kaka out of his side so far this season.

Carvalho was, however, given a stark choice as Mourinho made it clear the Portuguese defender would not play if he stayed with Real Madrid.

"Carvalho has to decide if he wants to continue playing football or see out his contract here and end his career," he said.

Mourinho was speaking in the run-in to the return leg of the Spanish Super Cup where his side will look to overturn a 3-2 first leg deficit against arch rivals FC Barcelona. A 1-0 win would give Madrid the title, but Mourinho placed little importance in the result.

"Winning the Super Cup or beating Barca is not what is important for me. My priority is knowing what happened at the weekend against Getafe (Madrid lost 2-1). Is it a one-off or whether it is a real problem in the psychological profile of some players or the team," he added.
