Real Madrid eye Champions League knock out stage
Real Madrid are well placed after beating Zurich in the opening match.

New Delhi: Cristiano Ronaldo has returned back to the Real Madrid squad that will take on Zurich at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

After a two month ankle injury lay off that saw Ronaldo miss nine games for Real Madrid he is fit and ready for selection. Real are well placed and they had thrashed the Swiss side 5-2 in the opening Group C match.

If AC Milan and Real win their respective both teams will reach the knockout stage. Both the teams are tied at the top with seven points each. AC Milan take on Marseille in the other Group C match.

Group B leaders Manchester United take on Turkish side Besiktas at Old Trafford.

United have the momentum going into the clash with a 3-0 win over Everton in their English Premier League game.

Having already secured a place in the knockout stage Sir Alex Ferguson has the luxury to rest a few players for the game.

Dimitar Berbatov is all set to return but Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans are ruled out due to injury.

Besiktas have managed to win just once in four Champions League outings.

Porto will host Chelsea in the other Champions League game. Both sides have already qualified for the last 16. The clash will decide who tops the group table.

Deco, Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack are back for the Blues while Frank Lampard and Jose Bosingwa remain sidelined.

Chelsea beat Porto 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in the opening round but the Dragons bounced back and are on a three-game winning streak in the competition.

With no pressure on either team it looks like an entertaining game for the fans.

Bayern Munich need some points and a miracle to climb to second place. They play Macabi Haifa in a Group A game as the top two teams of the same group Bodeaux and Juventus battle it out in the other match.
