A power failure delayed the start of Delhi Dynamos' Indian Super League (ISL) clash with NorthEast United FC at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Tuesday, and according to sources, the issue has still not been resolved and Mumbai City FC team is worried ahead of its match at the venue scheduled to take place on Friday.
A source on Wednesday told IBNLive, "There is uncertainity about what time the match will start as there is some power issue in the stadium. There is a possibility of a delayed start."
Delhi's second home game against NorthEast United FC was suppose to start at 7 pm but it got delayed by 40 minutes as the power supply didn't allow the flood lights to take full effect.
It was believed that the power supply of the stadium malfunctioned as additional electricity was provided to a religious gathering that took place simultaneously during the match adjacent to the ground within the stadium's premises. And the source added that a religious function will also be happening on Friday.
