Madrid: Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas will probably look to leave the club in the January transfer window if the Spain international doesn't get more playing time.

Casillas, who has played only one full game this season, never recovered his starting position from Diego Lopez after breaking his left hand last season.

"If the situation doesn't change within three months and you ask me the same question, I'd probably say that I'll be looking to leave," Casillas said on Thursday.

Madrid coach Jose Mourinho favored Lopez even after Casillas' return, and new coach Carlo Ancelotti has also stuck with the former Spain international bought from Sevilla in January. Casillas has played just 105 minutes this season, all in the Champions League.

"In September I wanted to leave and I was going to tell the president that I wanted to go, but I decided to be a part of this squad and this club for a lot longer," Casillas said. "I always wanted to stay at Real Madrid but I'd like to play and compete more."

The 32-year-old Spain international has been a regular at Madrid since 1999, guiding the club to two Champions League and five Spanish league titles. He captained Spain to a 2010 World Cup triumph between back-to-back European Championships.
