New Delhi: David Beckham will leave AC Milan as planned in March as his spokesman Simon Oliveira rubbished speculation regarding a longer stay at San Siro.
A number of reports suggested 'Becks' would be extending his deal with the Italian giants when it expires and former Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas hinted that the midfielder could stay on.
However, those closest to the player insist that a return to Los Angeles is the only option.
"With respect to Lalas' opinion, he has never been involved with discussion's about Beckham's loan contract with Milan," Oliveira is quoted as saying in Corriere Dello Sport. "As David recently stated, he will be going back to the United States on March 9th for the beginning of the American season."
Hopes of seeing Beckham lift silverware with the Italian club at the end of term have been dashed.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani recently stated that it would be a "dream" to see Becks stay on for longer.
In any case, the Englishman will be back for Galaxy as scheduled.
