London: David Beckham has opened the door for a potential return to Manchester United by saying he would love to link up with the club again.
The former England captain currently plays in the US for LA Galaxy, but his contract has almost expired and there are no shortage of potential suitors who want to sign the former Real Madrid and AC Milan player to their club.
Paris Saint-Germain and QPR are just two clubs who have publicly declared their admiration for the veteran midfielder, with many others expected to be interested after his deal at LA Galaxy ends next month.
Beckham, though, has made clear on several occasions his love for Manchester United, the club where he made his name as a player, before a high-profile move to Madrid in 2003.
And when asked whether he would like a similar role to the one that Zinedine Zidane enjoys at Real Madrid, where he is both an advisor and coach, the 36-year-old told The Sun: "I'd love to do that."
"The best memory of my career came in 1999, no doubt, when Manchester United won the treble."
"In my opinion, no club can repeat that feat."
