London: English Premier League club Arsenal are ready to offer Didier Drogba an escape from his China crisis as Gunners look to fill the void left by Robin van Persie. According to the The Sun Arsene Wenger have made inquiries with the Chinese club to see if there is a way of bringing Drogba back to London.
The 34-year-old former Chelsea striker has been caught up in a boardroom power struggle just three months after signing a £200,000 a week contract with Shanghai Shenhua.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is known for trusting to youth but may feel the need to bring extra striking options and could therefore be ready to offer Drogba a short term deal, but one does wonder if the former Chelsea hero would consider returning to the Premier League to play for another top tier side.
Drogba left Chelsea this summer for free after helping them lift their maiden Champions League trophy.
