Adailton strike earns Bologna shock point
Juventus came into the game against Bologna with injury problems.

New Delhi: A last minute goal from substitute Martins Adailton earned Bologna a shock 1-1 draw against Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin, cancelling out David Trezeguet's first half opener.

The Bianconeri came into this game with injury problems as Momo Sissoko, Fabio Cannavaro and Tiago were out injured. Diego and Alessandro Del Piero were back - the latter starting from the bench, and the Brazilian playing as trequartista behind Amauri and David Trezeguet. Fabio Grosso was rested, meaning a recall for Cristian Molinaro.

Bologna had a few selection issues too as Davide Bombardini, Vangelis Moras and long-term absentee Massimo Mutarelli were missing. Ex-Juventus strikers Marco Di Vaio and Marcelo Zalayeta led the attack.

Juventus attacked from the start, and Claudio Marchisio tested Emiliano Viviano from long-range. On 12 minutes, Amauri found himself some space on the left side of the area, but Viviano got down smartly.

The first big chance of the game arrived to Trezeguet, who was released through on goal by Mauro Camoranesi. The Frenchman powered in a goalbound volley, but Viviano did brilliantly to turn the ball around the post. From the following corner, Nicola Legrottaglie headed wide. The same defender also nodded over moments later from another corner.

The chances continued to come, and on 17 minutes Trezeguet was again profligate as he swept the ball wide from six yards out from Jonathan Zebina's near post cross.

On 24 minutes, the deadlock was finally broken and the two Frenchmen were again involved. Zebina burst past three players into the box, and when his fierce drive was saved by Viviano, Trezeguet was on hand to turn in the rebound.

Bologna tried to react with two Di Vaio efforts, but Diego missed a fine chance to double Juventus' lead as he was closed down by Miguel Britos after Amauri's through pass.

The visitors had a good spell around the half-hour mark, and Andrea Raggi perhaps should have done better as he sliced wide when completely unmarked at the back post.

Bologna had the ball in the back of the net in first half injury time, as Raggi pressured Giorgio Chiellini into putting the ball into his own net, but the goal was correctly disallowed for offside.

Into the second half, and Juventus registered the first effort as Amauri headed over at the back post. Down the other end, Diego swung his left foot at a loose ball, but he didn't connect properly.

On 54 minutes Diego wasted his second fine opening of the afternoon as a poor touch following a flowing counter-attack allowed the Bologna defence to close him down.

That was to be Diego's last significant contribution as just shy of the hour mark the tiring Brazilian was replaced by Sebastian Giovinco.

Soon after the impressive Viviano made another save as he beat away a powerful drive from Felipe Melo.

On 63 minutes Bologna missed two golden chances to equalise. First a quick free kick from Roberto Guana put Di Vaio clean though on goal, but the veteran fired wide. Minutes later Di Vaio again found himself with the goal at his mercy, but after beating Buffon he was denied by a miraculous goal-line clearance by Chiellini.

Juventus were living very dangerously. Buffon saved excellently from substitute Giacomo Tedesco, and from the follow-up another sub Pablo Osvaldo lashed over.

Camoranesi tried to offer some respite as he blazed high over the bar from 30 yards, but Bologna again went close as Guana fired inches wide of the post.

With seven minutes remaining the nervous crowd was lifted as Del Piero was brought on for his first appearance of the season. The Golden Boy almost immediately set up a goal, but Camoranesi headed against the post from six yards.

Juventus looked set to hold out, but in the last minute of injury time Bologna found an equaliser. Molinaro left substitute Adailton completely free at the back post, and the Brazilian steered Tedesco's cross into the net.
