'Salman Khan Is A Huge Star Now, I'm Very...': Revathy On Equation With Tiger 3 Co-Star | Exclusive

Salman Khan and Revathy had shared screen space in the 1991 film, Love. The duo was paired opposite each other and their impish chemistry in SP Balasubrahmanyam and KS Chitra’s chartbuster love ballad Saathiya Yeh Tune Kya Kiya continues to melt hearts to this day. Despite being a loved onscreen couple, the actors weren’t seen in a film together again. 32 years later, however, they’ve reunited on Tiger 3. The actioner will see her taking on the role of Girish Karnad as the RAW Chief.

Prior to this, Salman and Revathy collaborated on the film Phir Milenge (2004), where the latter directed the superstar. Speaking to News18 Showsha a while back, Revathy opened up on how their friendship has evolved over the years. She revealed that they don’t necessarily catch up very often but every time they get on a call, they pick up from where they left.

“He’s a very giving person. Whenever I’ve call him or want to meet, I just do it. He’s all love and care towards me. I feel the same towards him. I feel very happy when I see a good film of his. I always message him if I like his film and he replies to me. Sometimes it so happens that I message him after three to four years and tell him about a film that he has done,” she told us exclusively.

However, their dynamic has changed quite a bit now that Salman has transformed from a chocolate boy to an action superstar. Talking about it, Revathy said, “He’s a huge star now. So, it’s different. It changes our on-set dynamic too. There’s a totally different aura around him. As for me, I’m a very ordinary person who happens to love the work I do. Having said that, our personal equation will always be there.”

While Revathy continues to be very active down south, her presence in Hindi films has become rather sporadic. When asked about the same, the Margarita With A Straw (2015) and 2 States (2014) actor stated, “I was very choosy from the very beginning. I’m happy that my brain worked well (laughs). I never planned a career graph. I had no one telling me what to do. I didn’t have a manager or a PR telling me that I need to do certain films because I need to get where I’m today. For me, it was all about believing in the story and the director. These were the two things that were important for me.”

On a related note, Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma and also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. The film is set for a worldwide release on November 12 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The trailer of the film was unveiled yesterday (October 16) and has already created waves on social media.
