The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET UG 2024 registration process has reopened today, April 9. The application window was earlier open from February 9 to March 16. Those who are yet to fill out the form may do so by tomorrow, up to 10:50 pm at the official website at exams.nta.ac.in.
“A few requests were received from the candidates to re-open the registration window of NEET (UG) – 2024 as they could not fill their form due to various unavoidable reasons. To support the candidates, it has been decided to re-open the Registration Window of NEET (UG) – 2024,” the NTA said in its official notice.
NEET UG 2024: How to apply?
Candidates who are looking to apply for NEET 2024 must follow the step-by-step guidelines mentioned below:
Step 1 – Go to the official NTA website at exams.nta.ac.in.
Step 2 – Now you will have to browse the homepage and then click on the NEET UG tab that has been provided.
Step 3 – After clicking on the tab, you must select the homepage registration link.
Step 4 – Now enter the details and fill in the form carefully.
Step 5 – Before clicking submit, review the entire form to check if all the entered details are accurate.
Step 6 – Next, submit the form and download the page on your computer as a PDF file.
Step 7 – Taking out a printout of the document is also advised as it helps with future reference.
NEET UG 2024: Application Fees
The application fee for candidates belonging to the general category is Rs 1700, it is Rs 1600 for General-EWS/ OBC-NCL category candidates, and Rs 1000 for those belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and Third Gender categories. Candidates outside of India will have to pay Rs 9500.
For admission to MBBS, BDS, etc. courses, it is necessary to pass the medical entrance exam. 12th-pass students from science subjects can apply for the NEET UG exam which will be held on May 5, 2024. The result is expected to be released by June 14.
