The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has made changes to the schedule for PhD admissions in 2023. The updated timetable has been officially released and is accessible on the JNU website at jnuee.jnu.ac.in. Aspiring candidates interested in enrolling in the PhD program are advised to refer to the revised schedule on the official website.
The revised schedule pertains specifically to the PhD program under the JRF category and the PhD program through the entrance exam for the academic year 2023-34. It’s noteworthy that this marks the second revision to the admission schedule, and candidates should stay informed about the latest updates to ensure a smooth application process.
As per the revised schedule, the first merit list for admission to Ph.D. programs is set to be released on January 11. Post which, the candidates will be able to apply for pre-enrolment registration and make the payment of the fee, with the blocking of seats on the first list on January 11, January 12, and January 13, 2024. Then, the physical verification of admission or registration of selected candidates from the first list will be done between January 17 and January 18.
The institute will further release the second merit list on January 18 and pre-enrolment registration and payment of fees with the blocking of seats on the second list are slated to be done on January 18 and January 19.
Physical verification of admission and registration for the final list of shortlisted candidates will take place on February 1. The last date for admission or registration is set for February 9.
