Determination, hard work and focus can often make people’s dreams come true. One such person is Divyanshu Rawat from Srinagar Garhwal in Uttarakhand who has proved that with sheer willpower one can achieve anything. Right from his childhood, he dreamed of wearing an army uniform, and now he has finally fulfilled his dreams by cracking the Service Selection Board (SSB) exam and making his parents and teacher proud of him.
Divyanshu Rawat from the Chauras area, adjacent to Srinagar Garhwal cleared his SSB exams and secured an All Indian Rank (AIR) 78. His parents, teacher, relatives and community are extremely happy with his accomplishments and feel proud of his feat. The young man cleared his SSB through Technical Officer entry. He cleared the physical skills test and cracked the interview. Now, Divyanshu Rawat will undergo intensive training for at least four years after which he will be serving in the prestigious Indian Army as a Lieutenant.
He completed his intermediate studies at Rainbow Public School, Srinagar Garhwal. Then, he enrolled himself to pursue a Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University. Currently, he is in his second year. In an interview, he revealed that he did not seek any help from a coaching centre or tuition to help him prepare for his SSB exams. He studied on his own and cleared SSB. He stated that “it is not necessary that the one taking a coaching class needs to be successful”. Instead, a person needs, “determination and discipline” to achieve success.
The young man credited his elder brother Priyanshu Rawat, for his success and motivation. Priyanshu Rawat also cleared the National Defence Academy (NDA) and is now posted as an officer in the Indian Army. Divyanshu Rawat’s father is a teacher, who is quite happy and proud of his son’s success and achievement. Similarly, his school teacher, Ridesh Uniyal, in an interview shared that Divyanshu has always been an active student and had scored 90 per cent in his class 12 boards. He was also the captain of sports in school.
He has set an example in his community that hard work and determination helps achieve success.
