The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2025) will be held in February at the Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT Roorkee). The GATE Exam date for 2025 has been revealed. According to the timetable, the GATE test will take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. Two sessions, one in the afternoon and one in the morning, will be held for the examination on every day. Shift 1 (forenoon shift) will run from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and Shift 2 (afternoon shift) from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
GATE 2025: Eligibility criteria
Candidates are urged to confirm that they fulfil the GATE 2025 eligibility requirements before submitting an application. Candidates who are in their third or higher years of an undergraduate degree programme or who have finished a government-approved degree programme in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities are eligible to take the GATE test.
There is currently no announcement regarding the registration deadline. The application procedure is, however, slated to begin in August. GATE 2025 will be administered as a computer-based exam (CBT), with 30 test papers in English. According to the pattern, GATE 2025 scores will be valid for three years following the publication of results.
IISc and seven IITs, namely IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee, jointly administer the GATE 2025 on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB) – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
GATE is a national-level test that evaluates applicants’ complete knowledge of undergraduate-level disciplines in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities.
