A few India cricketers took some time from their busy schedule to attend the 'Bhasma Aarti' which he performed at Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.

A host of rising India stars attended the Bhasma Aarti which is performed at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh).

A video of Washington Sundar, Tilak Varma, Ravi Bishnoi and Jitesh Sharma was attending the aarti at the famous temple was shared by news agency ANI on X (formerly Twitter).

The Indian team landed in Indore last week for the second match of their ongoing three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The hosts went on to complete a facile win to take an unassailable 2-0 lead.

In a clip shared by the BCCI on the social media platform earlier, Sundar had responded Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple when asked what he associates with Madhya Pradesh.

Legspinner Bishnoi took two wickets in his four overs on a batting friendly pitch as Afghanistan posted a competitive 172-all out at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday night.

For the tourists, Gulbadin Naib, who walked in at no.3, top-scored with 57 off 35.

Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with figures of 3/32 from four overs while left-arm spinner Axar Patel took two wickets including that of Naib.

In reply, India lost captain Rohit Sharma for a golden duck before Yashavi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli blazed away in the Powerplay to put their team in control of the chase.

Kohli, playing in his first T20I in over a year, was ultra-aggressive, hitting 16-ball 29 while Jaiswal peeled off a blistering half-century – 68 off 34 with the help of five fours and six sixes.

Shivam Dube produced an excellent show with the bat, blasting an unbeaten 63 off 32, an innings featuring five fours and four sixes. India hunted down the target in just 15.4 overs.

The third and final contest will be played in Bengaluru on January 17 with India eyeing a clean sweep.
