SRH's Travis Head Survives Controversial Run-Out Scare From RR's Sanju Samson Before Being Dismissed The Next Ball - WATCH
The decision ultimately went up to the third umpire, who upon review, ruled that Head's bat was in contact with the ground mere split-seconds before the bails were removed from the stumps.

Out or Not-Out? Well, it ultimately SRH’s Travis Head survived a scare from RR skipper Sanju Samson’s moment of genius by the smallest of margins, as both sides face off in Hyderabad today.

Controversy regarding the possible run-out of Travis Head was ignited after the Aussie, in the eyes of the third umpire atleast, made it back into the crease by a hair’s length.

SRH started off their innings against visitors RR in shaky fashion as the likes of both Abhishek Sharma and Anmolpreet Singh were dismissed early on within the powerplay, leaving SRH at a precarious 35-2.

But, it was then the Travis Head and Nitish Reddy show, as the southpaw and the right-hander took on the Rajasthan Royals’ bowling attack with some ferocity, smashing the likes of Chahal and Ashwin for boundaries galore to stabilise their side’s innings and revive it with a jolt of energy.

But, it was in the 15th over, when chaos ensued, as Avesh Khan bowled a lower full toss, which was mistimed by Head to nick it safely behind to Samson.

But, Samson noticed that the batter was off his lines and in a swift move, rolled the ball onto the stumps to run him out.

The decision ultimately went up to the third umpire, who upon review, ruled that Head’s bat was in contact with the ground mere split-seconds before the bails were removed from the stumps.

But, various angles of the camera appear to showcase Head’s bat in the air, and hence, the decision left countless puzzled.

In the end though, one may say that karma was served as in the very next ball, Head played on a wider delivery off Avesh onto the stumps to dismiss himself in embarrassing fashion.

SRH though, rejuvenated by the Nitish-Head partnership continue to march on stronger, as Heinrich Klaasen came in to join in on the attacking fun, and punished Chahal for a couple oh whopping sixes.

SRH will be on the hunt to set yet another 200+  target against the table-toppers RR, who have conceded only one 200+ score so far in the IPL.
