Pat Cummins Couldn't Take His Eyes Off MS Dhoni's Batting Highlights at Pre-final Presser - WATCH

As the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) heads down to the final where Kolkata Knight Riders take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The SRH skipper Pat Cummins was seen relishing the legendary MS Dhoni’s batting during the pre-match press conference.

Ever since Cummins took on the role as skipper for the Australian side, he has brought the international giants success by leading them to the World Test Championship followed by the ODI World Cup. He will now be looking at taking the IPL crown as well and his stocks as an established leader continue to be on the rise.

The Australian pacer will also look to take some inspiration from the legendary MS Dhoni who is arguably one of the finest captains the nation has produced and has gone on to win it all for the Indian side during his tenure as the skipper.

Cummins was brought into the SRH side for a whopping price tag of 20.5 crore rupees and was also given the role of leading the side as well upon his arrival. The Australian has transformed the fortunes of SRH who finished rock-bottom in last year’s tournament.

Under Cummins’ leadership, SRH have managed to play an explosive brand of cricket which has taken the tournament by storm. Twice the side was able to set the record for the highest innings score in the history of the tournament. And leading the batting unit was their opening pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma.

But it’s not just the batting that is ruthless, the bowling led by the skipper himself along with the likes of T Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were also able to deliver some decisive breakthroughs.

While spin might be their biggest weakness on paper, the pair of Shahbaz Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma managed to rip apart the Rajasthan Royals batting unit to help them book their spot in the final as the side are firing on all cylinders.

But their opposition, KKR have also been in some unreal form as they led the points table and went onto beat SRH in emphatic fashion in Qualifier 1 with Shreyas Iyer leading with the bat and will prove to be a tough opposition as they fight it out for the big prize.
