Mumbai Indians Celebrate Marathi Language Day With Jersey Twist
Mumbai Indians, a five time IPL champions and winner of inaugural WPL, celebrated the Marathi Day on social media.

Mumbai Indians shared a unique collage of their players to celebrate the Marathi Language Day (February 27).

The IPL franchise shared a picture of Rohit Sharma’s number 45 jersey in the Marathi language to start the collage. Next, we have Sachin Tendulkar in his iconic jersey number 10.

Representing Mumbai’s female contingent, Harmanpreet Kaur featured in the third picture, rocking the shirt number 7. India’s T20I star Suryakumar Yadav can be seen donning his signature jersey number 63 in the fourth and final picture.

MI star Rohit Sharma is currently leading the Indian Test team against England at home.

Rohit’s men have already bagged the series 3-1 after a convincing victory in Ranchi. They will now be looking to finish off the bilateral tour with a fourth victory at Dharamshala.

After the Test, Indian men’s team stars will begin their preparation for the IPL 2024. It was recently announced that former Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya will be leading MI in the upcoming season.

Harmanpreet, on the other hand, is currently leading the Mumbai Indians’ women’s squad in the ongoing Women’s Premier League 2024 (WPL).

They began their campaign with a four-wicket victory over the Capitals last week on Friday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Harmanpreet was also declared the Player of the Match for her 55-run knock in that game. She guided her side to a second successive win last week on Sunday against the Gujarat Giants. The India skipper pulled off an unbeaten knock of 46 runs to secure a five-wicket victory for Mumbai.

Meanwhile, ICC’s number T20I batter Suryakumar is currently recovering from an injury. He had recently undergone groin surgery in Munich on January 17. This was his second surgery after suffering an ankle injury during India’s three-match T20I series against South Africa in December.

Mumbai Indians will be aiming to claim their sixth IPL trophy in the upcoming season set to begin on March 22 this year. The first game of the tournament will be played between reigning champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
