Following a commanding victory in Vizag, India are set to lock horns with England in the third game of the ongoing five-match Test series from Thursday.
The contest will be held at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot from February 15 to 19. India were stunned in Hyderabad, losing the opening Test by 28 runs. Despite missing the services of KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, the Rohit Sharma-led side managed to turn the tables in the second Test.
Opting to bat first, India were bowled out for 396 in the first innings on the back of a remarkable double-century by Yashasvi Jaiswal. The young opener scored 209 runs off 290 deliveries while his knock was laced with 19 fours and 7
sixes. Apart from Zak Crawley and captain Ben Stokes, no English batter could make any impact as the visitors were bowled out for 253 runs.
India then added 255 more to their big lead and set a target of 399 runs. Crawley once again shone with the bat but did not much assistance from his teammates. England ultimately fell 106 runs short of the required total as they were bundled out on Day 4.
