'100K And Counting!': Rishabh Pant Pledges to Donate His YouTube Earning For Good Cause
Less than a month after launching his official YouTube channel, India cricketer Rishabh Pant has accumulated 1,19,000 subscribers.

India cricketer Rishabh Pant has made a successful return to cricket field after spending over a year on the sidelines after recovering from injuries he suffered during a horrific car accident in December 2022. Pant made his on-field return with the IPL 2024 where he finished as Delhi Capitals’ highest run-getter before making the cut in India’s squad for the ongoing T20 World Cup.

In May this year, Pant launched his official YouTube channel and in less than a month, the wicketkeeper-batter has attracted 1,19,000 subscribers.

Upon completing the milestone, he received a ‘Silver Creator Award’ from the platform and to mark the occassion, he has announced to donate all his earnings from YouTube along with personal contribution ‘for a good cause’.

“This Silver Play Button belongs to all of us. 100K and counting! To mark this milestone, I’m pledging to donate all earnings from YouTube, combined with my personal contribution for a good cause Let’s use this platform for the better and make a difference!” Pant wrote.

Pant began his world cup with a half-century in India’s warm-up match against Bangladesh earlier this month before hitting an unbeaten 26-ball 36 to help them win their tournament opener against Ireland.

Pant then top-scored against Pakistan, 42 off 31, to help India to 119-all out as they went on to win the match by six runs. He got the start against USA as well but was dismissed for 18 off 20 with India completing a hat-trick of wins and qualifying for the Super Eight round.

India fielding coach T Dilip has praised Pant for his batting following the comeback and pointed out his wicketkeeping as one of the most impressive aspects.

“The biggest thing is that Rishabh Pant has come back really well, especially on the batting front. We all know he is a very good batter. But one of the good things about him is the way he came back as a wicketkeeper. With the kind of injuries he had, to come back as a wicketkeeper and the way he has been moving laterally and putting in the dives, that’s very heartening to see,” Dilip said on Friday.
