What Director Elan Wrote In 'Love Letter' To Music Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja

The makers of the Tamil film Star recently shared an exciting update. It has been revealed that the music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, has started working on the re-recording for the movie. Written and directed by Elan, the film was first announced in 2020.

Elan penned a love letter, expressing gratitude towards Yuvan Shankar Raja for his contribution to the film’s music. The caption of the post reads, “My love letter to @itsyuvan sir. #Starmovie re-recording work started.”

Several social media users have commented on the post. One user wrote, “Yuvan’s best on cards”. Another user added, “Please give us the release date soon”. One user also commented, “Can’t wait to see our man’s magic on the big screen.”

Aaditi Pohankar has been cast as the main female character in Star, alongside Lal, Preity Mukundhan, and Geetha Kailasam in supporting roles.

During a previous interview with CE, Elan remarked, “I have made adjustments to the script. While Pyaar Prema Kaadhal was predominantly a romantic comedy, Star will be a fusion of romance and family drama.”

Handling the technical aspects, Ezhil Arasu serves as the cinematographer for Star, while Pradeep E Ragav oversees editing duties. The costume design is under the expertise of National Award-winner Sujith Sudhakaran, and Vinoth Raj Kumar N takes charge as the art director.

Last year, filming for the movie Star began with Harish Kalyan in the lead role. The first poster showed him resembling famous actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. But there was a change in plans, and now actor Kavin is playing the lead role instead. The film also stars Aaditi N Pohankar and Preity Mukhundan as the female leads. First-look posters of both actresses were also unveiled last month.

Actor Kavin is set to play the role of a movie star in an upcoming project. Titled Star, the film explores the difficulties that come with fame. The promotional activities for the movie have begun, highlighted by the release of its songs. Produced by BVSN Prasad and Sreenidhi Sagar, the makers are yet to announce a release date for the film.
