Delhi's 3BHK Available at Security Deposit of Rs 10K Has Bengalureans Doing a Double Take
Delhi's 3BHK listed at security deposit of Rs 10,000 leaves internet shocked. Just imagine the reaction of Bengalureans!

The internet is no new to the tales of Bengaluru’s ‘high roller’ rental scene and the epic sagas of tenants grappling with towering expenses. In the IT Capital of India, where apartment prices defy gravity, the notion of finding anything ‘cheap’ is like hunting for a needle in a haystack. So, when a Delhi flat boldly flaunted a security deposit as rare as a unicorn at just Rs. 10,000, Bengalureans collectively spat out their virtual coffee, flooding the comment section that was initially meant for a routine flat announcement in Delhi’s Saket area.

“I’m moving out at the end of this month & looking for my replacement in a 3BHK in FFE, Saket. The room + house are spacious with good sunlight. Everyone is pretty chill including the landlady. Rent: 10,600 Security: 10,000,” posted a user named @cinematicnoodle on the micro-blogging site ‘X,’ along with pictures of the flat. Now, a 3BHK up for grabs at such an affordable rent and an even more economical security deposit was destined to be the talk of the internet town, prompting Bengalureans to collectively raise their eyebrows in a resounding ‘what’ moment!

Here’s the Post:

“‘Delhi rent security deposits are so sweet.’ -Me a Bengaluru house hunter who’s paid 2L as deposit for a 2BHK,” humourously exclaimed a user in a repost of the now limited original post.

Another participant quipped, “Bangalore tenants have been taken for a ride for far too long. No one is ready to “disrupt” This high rent high deposit scheme.” The third user added a touch of humour, stating, “I genuinely thought she missed a 0 in deposit,” quipped the third user.

Even those unfamiliar with Bengaluru couldn’t help but express their astonishment. One shared, “TBH, this is an exception. The usual security amount is 2 months’ rent (still way better than BLR and BOM), but you can get it reduced to a month if you can sweet talk the landlord.”

Another chimed in, “10K deposit? This is not common for Delhi too. Usually 4 x monthly rent is deposit there too.”

Truly, in a universe where rents ascend to stratospheric heights, this exceptional case is the real MVP—an ‘exception’ that has the internet doing a double take.
