Yes, you read that right. Till now you've been thinking Nissan whenever you heard the letters G,T and R together and you've been right to do so, until now. There's a new, green, GT R coming all the way from Germany, from the stable of Mercedes-AMG.
The Mercedes-AMG GT was fast in itself, then the Mercedes-AMG GT S was faster, and the Mercedes-AMG GT R promises to take the game to the next level. The German automaker has teased their latest product, ahead of its launch on June 23 at Goodwood Festival of Speed. By the looks of it (which looks great) the GT R will be a track-focused machine and is rumoured to have a turbocharged V8, that will churn out an impressive 570 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Mercedes is calling the car – Beast of the Green Hell, and given by the kind of teasers they are putting out, it won't be wrong to expect a mind-blowing Nurburgring lap time soon. For now, we need to wait till further details are revealed about the GT R and we are very very excited to see how the Japanese GT-R makers from Nissan take this as, given that they have an all-new GT-R stated to be launched next year.
