Just like the ever rising demand for SUVs all over the world, corssovers and mini-SUVs have been witnessing their fair share of increase in demand as well. Taking not of this trend, automakers across the globe are coming out with aggressivley priced mini-SUVs and Honda's bet in this department is the WR-V. The Japanese automkaer is now coming out with an all-new WR-V which will be unveiled at the Sao Paulo International Motor Show 2016, which begins November 8, 2016.
Based on the research of customers needs in South America, Honda R&D Brazil developed the WR-V, which joins the HR-V and CR-V SUV model lineup by Honda. If the sketch revealed by Honda is anything to go by, then the car is set to sport sharp angular lines throughout with ample body cladding and flared wheel-arches, giving the car an aggressive-SUV look. Built on the Jazz platform, it is expected to get the same dashboard layout but with updated features. The car is expected to be offered in two engine options in Brazil – 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre petrol engines.
Although, there has been no official announcement as to when the car will be launched in India but we expect it to hit our shores by the end of 2017. Upon its arrival, the Honda WR-V will take on the likes of Ford EcoSport, which will be getting an update as well next soon.
