Powering the Honda CB500X is an 8-valve liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine delivers max power of 35kw at 8500rpm and max torque of 43.2Nm at 6500rpm.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd has launched the Honda CB500X in India at Rs 6.87 lakh (ex-showroom). The parallel-twin compact adventurer from Honda will make its way to the Indian market through CKD* route. Elaborating on CB500X and expansion of premium motorcycle business, Mr. Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Honda has been delivering upon its promise to expand the fun culture in India. Today, we are happy to introduce the most awaited motorcycle in our premium line-up – the CB500X. Be it rough city roads, open highways or country track, CB500X is always ready to accompany you for an unforgettable journey"

Taking style cues from the legendary Africa Twin, the new CB500X gets full LED lighting – including both headlamp and tail lamp and compact signal indicators and clear screen tail lamp. It gets diamond-shaped steel-tube mainframe that is tied to the engine with four mounts. The motorcycle gets 181mm ground clearance and places the heavier part closer to center of gravity and engine in close proximity to the swing arm pivot point.

At the front, the motorcycle gets long-stroke 41mm front suspension. Meanwhile, at the back there is Honda Pro-Link rear suspension with 9-stage spring preload adjustment. The motorcycle sits on a set of lightweight multi-spoke cast-aluminum wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear).

The CB500X comes equipped with the smart ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) technology that detects sudden braking and automatically activates the front and rear hazard lights, which flash to warn nearby vehicles. The CB500X features Honda Ignition Security System (HISS) theft deterrent, reinforced handlebar lock structures, and strengthened key cylinders.

The CB500X ships with a negative display LCD meter that displays Gear Position Indicator, Engine Temperature Indicator, ABS indicator keep the rider updated in any given riding environment. The CB500X employs Dual Channel ABS on both the front 310mm and rear 240mm drilled petal-style disc brakes.
