With the festive season around the corner, carmakers are not only offering big discounts but also launching exciting new models to woo buyers and boost sales.
From affordable cars starting at Rs 10 lakh to a luxury electric SUV priced at Rs 2.25 crore, automakers are catering to every type of customer.
Tata Curvv Coupe SUV
After launching the Curvv EV, Tata Motors has now introduced the same coupe SUV in petrol and diesel versions, priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 17.69 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). Competing with models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara, the Curvv is set to capture attention in the mid-size SUV market.
Mahindra Thar Roxx
Mahindra has opened bookings for its new Thar Roxx. The five-door SUV, launched on August 15, starts at Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes head-to-head with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Mahindra aims to make Thar the No.1 SUV brand in the segment over the next 3-5 years, according to Money Control.
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
Hyundai is all set to launch the Alcazar facelift on September 9, with prices expected between Rs 17-23 lakh(ex-showroom). This seven-seater SUV aims to strengthen Hyundai’s position in the SUV market.
MG Windsor EV
In the EV segment, JSW MG Motor is ready to launch the Windsor EV on September 11. Positioned between the Comet and ZS models, the Windsor EV is expected to be priced between Rs 15-20 lakh (ex-showroom), offering a mix of sedan comfort and SUV space.
Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG
Maruti Suzuki is also gearing up for the CNG variant of its popular Swift, expected to hit the market by mid-September. Although the company hasn’t officially announced it, dealer sources say it’s coming soon.
Mercedes Maybach EQS SUV
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the luxury Maybach EQS SUV with a price tag of Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom). The all-electric SUV offers a range of 600 km and is aimed at high-end buyers who value both luxury and eco-friendliness
New Launches to Drive Sales Surge
According to S&P Global Mobility, these new launches will play a key role in reviving the sluggish automotive market. Puneet Gupta, Director at S&P Global, said, “Models like the Tata Curvv and Hyundai Alcazar will drive excitement, attract more consumers, and boost market sentiment,” as quoted to Money Control.
