For those seeking additional coverage, BMW provides an extended warranty option. This extended warranty offers peace of mind for a period of your choice, with a single upfront payment covering a wide range of repairs performed by authorized service centers using original parts.

The extended warranty can be extended up to 10 years from the start date, ending either when the mileage or time limit is reached.

Key Points of Extended Warranty:

  • Purchase Within Standard Warranty Period: You must buy the extended warranty within the initial warranty period.
  • Covers Original Specifications Only: This warranty applies to factory-built specs, excluding accessories like ceramic brakes and performance parts.
  • Starts from Day One: Coverage begins at the vehicle’s warranty start date and zero kilometers.
  • Ends with Mileage or Time Limit: The warranty terminates when the mileage or time limit is reached, whichever comes first.

What’s Not Covered:

  • Fuel system contamination and consequential damage.
  • Paint, body, cover, and panel damages.
  • Glass defects and accidental damages.
  • Tyres, wheel damages, and balancing weights.
  • Engine damage due to lack of oil or racing events.
  • Flood, accidental damages, towing costs, bulbs (except LED and Xenon lights).
  • Odor and dust-related defects.

How to Get the Extended Warranty?

  • The extended warranty is available for all new cars but not for used cars.
  • It is transferable to subsequent owners but not to another car.
  • Customers must order the extended warranty through authorized dealers.
