Prince Harry Expected in UK This Week But Uncertainty Looms Over Meeting With Ailing Father King Charles
Prince Harry will visit the UK to attend a ceremony to mark a decade of Invictus Games which is being held roughly three kms away from where his father King Charles is living.

UK royal Prince Harry will be visiting Britain this week where is expected to attend an event barely three and a half kilometres from his sick father. It remains to be seen whether Harry will meet his father, the ailing King Charles III, who is undergoing treatment for cancer.

People familiar with the developments told the Daily Mail that Prince Harry is ‘very keen’ to see his father when he visits London to attend a ceremony to mark ten years of the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral this week.

The people mentioned above also said that no meeting has yet been scheduled between the monarch and the prince, whose relationship has soured following the release of Prince Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’.

The aforementioned people said that King Charles III has his weekly audience with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Wednesdays and there are ‘no plans to deviate from that’.

He will also attend this year’s first Buckingham Palace garden party in the afternoon before that meeting. King Charles resumed public duties last week following his cancer diagnosis in February.

A spokesman said the monarch’s engagements are being managed on a case-by-case basis and ‘remain subject to doctors’ advice’.

Harry saw his father when the news of his father’s cancer diagnosis was first announced.

He is not expected to be accompanied by Meghan Markle when he flies to the UK this week.

He is also not expected to see his brother, Prince William. The people mentioned above said that their relationship was apparently damaged beyond repair due to the claims made by Harry in his memoir ‘Spare’.

The brothers have not spoken to each other since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

Prince William, Harry’s elder brother, will be in Windsor for an investiture on Wednesday and has engagements on Thursday and Friday.

Harry told American news media outlets that he hoped his father’s diagnosis could help ‘reunify’ the Royal Family.

“Any illness and sickness brings the family together,” he told Good Morning America.

Harry also offered to make a return to a ‘temporary royal role’ to support his father but people familiar with the developments dismissed the suggestion.

They, however, also suggested that the King would never ‘shut the door’ on his youngest son and believes their relationship can be repaired gradually.
