Woman Receives 'Not Creepy' Note From Stranger On Flight, Internet Feels Otherwise

It is very common to see people approaching strangers with a note with small messages or phone numbers inside it. While such gestures are usually very unsettling and creepy at times, there are also times when these notes can actually be pleasing. A woman recently had a strange encounter with a man who not only approached her on their flight but even handed out a “not so creepy” note. The user, going by @EYEamLRBY on X, shared a post to describe the strange encounter that she had.

She also mentioned how the stranger added an instruction to “read it later,” further reassuring that what was written inside was “not creepy.” Upon reading the content, she found a simple compliment about her hair, which she found a bit weird as there was no phone number, as usually expected.

“As I was getting off the plane – the man behind me handed me a piece of paper and said ‘take this and read it later. I promise it’s not creepy’. I took it and read it later. It was a handwritten note complimenting my hair at length and a $100 bill,” she wrote, as quoted by the New York Post. She went on to explain why it wasn’t creepy for her and added, “Honestly didn’t find it creepy because he didn’t leave a number and there was clearly no expectation or hope that we would interact again.”

On the other hand, the post left internet users divided. A user wrote, “Man was creepy after all, but at least he paid the creepy tax. ”

Another joked, “He totally stole your hair and has some voodoo priestess making a doll lol.”

“Yeah, not to weird you out, but that dude definitely has some of your hair,” a comment read.

One of the users spoke out in support of the stranger and noted, “If bro had the respect to leave you alone after complimenting you and paying for your haircare, I have huge respect for him back.”

“As a middle aged man that randomly leaves nice tips and compliments with no expectations I don’t think he was being creepy, just a little awkward,” a person stated.
