In an interview with The Sun, Shams disclosed that she has worked on oil rigs equipped with luxurious facilities such as sunbeds, massage chairs, indoor pools and even racing simulators. Alongside the lavish amenities, Shams enjoys a hefty salary, with the average wage exceeding £100,000 (approximately Rs 1 crore). Among the various opulent oil rigs she’s worked on, Shams rates a rig in Norway as the most luxurious, citing its incredible food and excellent entertainment options.

Shams Albayati has provided a glimpse into her daily life through a viral TikTok video, where she can be seen preparing for work while wearing gloves, a uniform and a helmet. The video, uploaded by an Instagram page called Oilfield, showcases Shams’ dedication to her job despite its challenges, including spending weeks away from home. She acknowledges the difficulties but asserts that the experience is worthwhile, offering valuable learning opportunities and exposure to diverse tasks. “You will learn so much in a small amount of time, you’ll be exposed to a lot of things, I recommend it,” Shams expressed, as quoted by The Sun.
