While Vir Das humorously mentioned that he had run out of ketchup, social media users couldn't resist teasing him.

India’s love for food is known worldwide. Alongside the food, the stainless steel thali, a traditional plate with compartments, holds a special place in every Indian household and it is a go-to choice for daily meals. Recently, actor-comedian Vir Das left the internet nostalgic after he confessed about his love for the steel thali. In a social media post, the Go Goa Gone star shared that he has been using the same plate while traveling abroad, and enjoyed various international cuisines like Italian, sushi and sometimes breakfast. However, what left everyone in splits was a lone blob of ketchup on the side. While Das humorously mentioned that he had run out of ketchup, social media users couldn’t resist teasing him.

Das recently shared a snapshot of his meal on Instagram, featuring the classic steel thali, which had two slices of bread, a fluffy omelette and a drop of ketchup. Sharing the post, the comedian wrote, “So I’m obsessive with this Thaali. I have Italian, sushi, breakfast, Indian, all cuisines in it. Travels with me. YOU decide when your food items touch. Also, we were out of ketchup.” In the comments section, social media users expressed sadness over the limited ketchup, while others offered to share their own ketchup supply.
