Albert Einstein, regarded as the most intelligent person to ever live, is an inspiration to many. So much so that people are even open to buying his ‘brain’. Wondering what we are talking about? Let us explain. A man from China is making headlines for earning big money by selling ‘Einstein Brain’. According to the South China Morning Post, a 22-year-old man from China has caused a sensation in mainland China for his invention of the Einstein Brain. Reports further state that this year alone, the virtual service has sold around 70,000 units on the e-commerce site called Taobao. Zhang Jiangxi, who is a resident of Hebei province in northern China, has developed a resource – which he has named Einstein Brain. This unique invention is able to answer questions and can provide “emotional comfort and spiritual nourishment,” you just have to pay 0.5 yuan or 7 US cents. Notably, the viral product is not sold as a medicine or a chip but is virtual. “Our product is virtual. After you pay for it, what you need to do is to wait to become smart. Usually after one night’s sleep, you will find the Einstein brain has already grown in your head,” an advertisement for the product reads.

As per more reports, Zhang had been selling stuff on the e-commerce website since he was 17, and wanted to do something which ensured a regular income. At that point, a friend joked about having low intelligence, which gave birth to the idea of Einstein Brain in Zhang’s mind.

The intriguing product was launched at the start of this year, with an image of Einstein, and a brain. Zhang used the caption, “This is Einstein’s Brain. It will grow on your brain as soon as you buy it,” to sell the product.

According to the young entrepreneur, a lot of university students contact him to buy the product. He says, “They are mainly college and secondary school students.” His customers include students from Peking University, so their discussions mostly revolve around studies, examinations, and future plans. Zhang said that they might also be looking for spiritual nourishment. He further states that they converse about “interesting things.” Zhang adds, “I want to bring joy to as many people as possible, chatting with them also makes me happy.” Through the 70,000 units sold, Zhang has been able to earn 35,000 yuan or 4,900 dollars.
