India’s ace badminton player Saina Nehwal and her husband Parupalli Kashyap are couple goals. Be it travel diaries or food shenanigans, the two know how to keep fans hooked to their social media timelines. Proof? Saina has shared a video featuring herself and Kashyap on Instagram. The clip opens to Saina asking her husband to sing for her. To which, he wholeheartedly agrees. The 37-year-old has picked the hit number Cheliya Cheliya from the Telugu film Gharshana. The track was originally sung by KK and Suchitra. Sharing the clip, the Olympic bronze medalist wrote, “Phir se start hogaya (He has started again).”

The video was able to create much buzz on the Internet. Fans gave a shout out to Parupalli Kashyap for his commendable voice and singing talent. Since being shared on Instagram, the video has accumulated more than three lakh views. Famous Telugu singer Sreerama Chandra also appreciated Kashyap’s singing. “Killer Singing,” Chandra wrote in the comments section. Badminton sensation Sikki Reddy wrote, “Killing it Anna.” Parupalli Kashyap’s mother Subhadra also reacted to the video. “Why are you (Parupalli) screaming like that? Saina’s acting is better than your song,” Subhadra sarcastically said.

Wait, there is more. Saina Nehwal has also announced that Parupalli Kashyap is her favourite Telugu singer. We are not joking. In the video, shared by her on Instagram, Kashyap is seen crooning the soulful number Samajavaragamana from Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. After listening to the badminton sensation’s singing talent, we can’t help but agree with Saina. Sharing the video, Saina, as a proud wife, declared, “My favourite Telugu singer.”

Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Hyderabad in December 2018.

Parupalli Kashyap, who won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, first met Saina at the Pullela Gopichand badminton academy during a training session. The pair also featured in the 2017 Premier Badminton League (PBL) and played for the Awadhe Warriors.
