High-end fashion is often seen as impractical for everyday use, but the pursuit of creating extraordinary designs can sometimes lead brands to launch products that push boundaries, often resulting in odd or unconventional outcomes. This experimentation, while innovative, doesn’t always resonate with everyone. Such is the case with Prada’s recently launched tote bag, whose bold design has sparked a wave of jokes and memes across the internet.
Prada, otherwise known for its boundary-pushing designs, unveiled a sleek, metallic tote bag for men that comes with a stamped leather design. Despite the minimalist look and spacious storage, the internet couldn’t help but compare the bag’s design to the floor of an Indian bus or train.
Apart from that, the bag’s high-end price has also become a topic of discussion online. According to Harrods, a luxury store, the bag is priced at £2,850 (around Rs 3 lakh). According to the website, the Italy-made bag has silver-tone hardware along with an interior zipped pocket and Prada’s dust bag. Also, it has a separate compartment for a bottle.
Speaking of its weird design, the website states that Prada has featured an embossed motif by hot stamping the metallic leather. Meanwhile, as pictures of the bag went viral on the internet, social media users had their own take on the design, mostly hilarious. A user joked, “At this time, Prada and Balenciaga are just profiling people with 0 brain who we can leave behind in case an asteroid is coming and we need to migrate to a different planet. This DTC bus floor jaisa bag was up for ₹ 2.73 Lakh and is SOLD OUT.”

Another commented, “Looks like my school bus….I used to count them throughout my journey.”
“Just needed to add a few brown foot marks and it was good to go,” another funny comment read.
One added, “The designer of local floors can sue him.”
Other jokes on “missing Vimal stains,” “bags for bus conductors,” and “copying the price of the bus” have left everyone in splits.
