Many companies employ mascots to promote their businesses. Often people dress up as mascots and try to attract customers by distributing flyers and encouraging potential customers to try their products and services. Now a video of one such mascot trying to attract customers is going viral. The video shows a person dressed as a chicken, which is the mascot of Bangladesh’s Five Star fried chicken chain, and dancing to a Bollywood song outside the chicken shop. The mascot is dancing to Pinky, a song by Mamta Sharma and Meet Bros from the 2013 action thriller Zanjeer.
The mascot’s energetic moves end up getting the attention of many passersby. Recently, an Instagram user Tasfia Fatima shared this mascot’s dance video on Instagram and wrote, “Dude deserves a raise.” The text on the video says, “Dhaka is wild.”

This clip has so far gathered over 1.5 lakh likes since it was posted on February 6. Commenting on this video, an Instagram user wrote, “Manager must have talked about performance-based raise…” Another person commented, “I’d eat from this shop just from seeing that despite the fact I do not enjoy five-star’s chicken.”
Multiple people referred to the unnamed mascot in the video as Rohan from the Indian sitcom ‘Best of Luck Nikki’, in which Rohan’s character plays the spokesmodel and delivery agent for Kukkad Nukkad, a chicken restaurant. Making this observation, an Instagram user wrote, “That’s Rohan from Best of Luck Nikki promoting Kukkad Nukkad.”
Many people praised the man for doing his job wholeheartedly. Praising the man’s dedication, an Instagram user wrote, “Don’t laugh at him he is doing it for his family indeed he is hero.” Making a similar point, another person remarked, “Seeing a lot of people sympathizing with the man in the video and I know it all comes from a good place but a job is a job. Dude is killing it. There is no need to feel bad for him. Let the man be proud of his job. He’s not doing anything to be ashamed of so there’s really no need to feel bad on his behalf.”
Instagram user Tasfia Fatima, who shared the above-mentioned video, urged people to support the mascot-dancer and wrote, “If you want to support him please go to this Five star outlet in Kochukhet! Apparently he’s supposed to perform there quite regularly.”
