Is Anupamaa Fame Sagar Parekh Participating in Bigg Boss 17? Here’s What We Know

The popular reality TV show Bigg Boss is all set for its new season. The show hosted by superstar Salman Khan is slated to premiere on October 15. As per the makers, the season promises to be a memorable one with the new format and a diverse range of celebrities gracing the show. While the list of the contestants is yet to be released, many popular names have been speculated to be the part of it this year. The latest name that has surfaced is that of Sagar Parekh. The actor is famous for playing the role of Samar Shah in the popular TV series Anupamaa on Star Plus.

As per the latest track on the show, Sagar is set to exit the show following the death of his character. Speaking about Sagar Parekh’s rumoured participation in Bigg Boss 17, a source was quoted by IVMBuzz as saying, “Sagar Parekh, after his fruitful stint in Rajan Shahi and Star Plus’ Anupamaa, is in demand. He is being considered as a probable candidate for Bigg Boss 17. It is true that the young actor, who has just now gotten out of the show Anupamaa, is in talks for Bigg Boss 17.” However, the report mentioned that there is no confirmation on the same from the actor himself or the channel, Colors TV.

While the character of Samar played by Sagar Parekh was quite famous among viewers, the plotline seems inevitable, and the actor told India Forums, ‘I am approaching this change with a positive outlook. This track is a significant one, and I am pleased that it centres on my character. “Anupamaa” revolves around how the protagonist deals with various challenges, and the major issue at hand is Samar’s passing. Rajan Sir, our brilliant producer, must have an important plan in mind. I am content; everything should be embraced in a positive light.”

Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 17 this year is expected to be grand, and the promos offer a glimpse of what is to come in the season centred on the theme of “Dil, Dimaag, aur Dum.”

Reportedly, Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain, Shailesh Lodha, Divyanka Tripathi, Pooja Bhatt, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, Jay Soni, Monika Bhadoriya, and Manisha Rani, among others, have all been mentioned as potential BB17 contestants this year. The previous season of Bigg Boss concluded earlier this year, with rapper MC Stan emerging as the winner.
