In the clip, the Bollywood superstar was allegedly seen asking about a minister who is called the ‘announcement machine’. However, Sony TV has clarified that the viral video is ‘distorted’. In the viral clip, Amitabh Bachchan is seen allegedly asking a contestant a question about the ‘announcement machine’ minister. The question read, “Among these Chief Ministers, who is known as the ghoshna machine because of their fake announcements?” The four options provided to the contestant were: Manohar Lal Khattar, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Yogi Adityanath and Bhupendra Patel. The contestant opts for Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s name, which is then announced as the correct answer.`

Sony TV Clarifies: ‘Viral Video Is Distorted’

Sony TV has now issued a statement clarifying that the alleged viral video from the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati is ‘distorted’. In the statement, the channel revealed that they have already filed a complaint with the cyber department and further investigation is underway. It also urged the viewers not to share such ‘unverified’ content on social media.

“We have been alerted to the circulation of an unauthorised video from our show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. This video misleadingly overlays a fabricated voice-over of our host and presents distorted content. Upholding the show’s integrity and our viewers’ trust is paramount, and we are actively addressing this matter with the cyber crime cell. We strongly condemn such misinformation, urge our audience to be vigilant, and refrain from sharing unverified content,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, BJP has also filed an FIR with the Bhopal Police’s cybercrime cell regarding the issue.
