Samsung tweeted a promotion for the Galaxy Note 9 from “Twitter for iPhone.” Samsung’s Nigerian Twitter account shared the tweet, which touted the Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s Super AMOLED display. This blunder was caught by Marques Brownlee. Samsung NG was quick to remove the tweet in question after the error was flagged. However, by that time, screenshots of the post had already started doing rounds on the internet, giving Apple fans an opportunity to mock Samsung.
Might as well add "Twitter police" to my bio at this point ♂️ pic.twitter.com/DRlrXl7bak— Marques Brownlee (@MKBHD) December 2, 2018
It seems as if the Nigerian Samsung account is the only one to have made this mistake. The Saudi Samsung account shared a similar tweet earlier this month, also sent from Twitter for iPhone.
Toi recall, Chinese smartphone maker Huawei was left embarrassed when an actress from one of its commercials showcasing new Nova 3 smartphone posted behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, revealing a DSLR camera being used to take selfies and not the smartphone. A Reddit user that goes by the name of AbdullahSab3 discovered that Sarah Elshamy, one of the actors in the ad, posted photos on her Instagram page, and one image revealed a photographer shooting the "at-home selfie with a DSLR".
