New Delhi: After announcing it in July, Motorola has teased its Moto X Play smartphone for the Indian smartphone market on social media.
On September 6, the company published a teaser image with hashtag #XOMotoX giving a glimpse of the new Android Lollipop-based device with its water-repellent design.

Motorola Moto X Play features a 5.5-inch HD display and its heart is a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor combined with 2 GB RAM. The phone offers almost the same specifications as the Moto Style but offers a 3630mAh battery, claimed to last 48 hours.

It further boasts of a 21 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5 megapixel front snapper. It comes in two storage options- 16 GB and 32 GB. The phone comes with 4G LTE capabilities and features in-built NFC technology.
The company has now sent out media invites for an event scheduled for September 14. If announced, the phone is likely to carry a price tag of Rs 25,500 and sell exclusively via Flipkart.
