Huawei Working on Its Own Voice Assistance Technology
At this point, the technology is being developed only for Huawei’s user base in China. For the rest of the world, the company will continue its partnership with Google and Amazon.

Huawei Technologies Co. is preparing to come as a new entrant in the digital assistant market with its own Voice Assistant, as per a report.

As per the report, the Voice Assistance technology is being developed at its Shenhzen offices by a team of more than a hundred engineers.

Huawei is aiming to build the technology at par with Apple Siri, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and nothing less than that.

At this point, the technology is being developed only for Huawei’s user base in China. For the rest of the world, the company will continue its partnership with Google and Amazon.Also read: Meizu M5s Android Marshmallow Smartphone Launched

This will help Huawei to cater to a large user base in China which is devoid of many Google Services as they are blocked in the country.

There is no official statement from the company as of now.

Now that many players in the industry are opting for their in-house voice assistance technology, Google might experience a setback in outsourcing its own voice-assistance technology.

Companies like Samsung and Baidu Inc. have already started with their plans of developing their own Voice Assistance technology.
