Nokia phone maker Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has introduced its latest smartphone, the HMD Skyline, in India, following its global debut two months ago. This launch marks the company’s third smartphone release in India this year, after the HMD Crest and Crest Max. The device has a very Nokia Lumia-like design and looks which could appeal to buyers. It is powered by a Snapdragon chipset and features a high refresh rate display along with a high-quality selfie camera.

HMD Skyline has launched In India with a price tag of Rs 35,999 for the single 12GB+256GB variant. You can buy the phone from Amazon, HMD.com and retail stores from September 17 in the country. The HMD Skyline is available in Neon Pink and Twisted Black colour variants.

The HMD Skyline features a 6.55-inch pOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, up to 1000 nits brightness, and the screen gets It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The HMD Skyline includes a Custom Button that can be modified to launch your preferred apps, navigation or an AI assistant.
On the imaging front, the HMD Skyline boasts a 108MP primary sensor with Hybrid OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens for 50mm portraits. For selfies and video calls, it features a 50MP front camera with auto-focus and eye tracking. Additionally, it includes a unique “selfie gesture” hardware that lets users take selfies by simply making a peace sign or one of three other hand gestures while looking at the phone.
The HMD Skyline is equipped with a 4,600mAh battery that promises up to 48 hours of usage and supports 33W fast charging. It also features Qi wireless charging, enabling you to charge the device with any compatible Qi2 magnetised charger. Other features include IP54 Dust and Water Resistant, a side-facing fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, aptX Adaptive Audio, OZO Playback and NFC.
It offers a comprehensive range of connectivity options, including a USB-C port, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS with Galileo L1/L5 dual-band support. Additionally, the device comes with a repairable design known as Gen2 Repairability, which allows for easy at-home repairs on your smartphone by just turning one screw to unlock the rear cover using a screwdriver and guitar pick.
